It was a pleasure to perform for Melanie and Heinrich's wedding ceremony (Guitar and Sax / Clarinet Duo) at the historical Holy Trinity Church in Kalk Bay and pre-dinner / reception (Trio with our vocalist Haydn) at the Harbour House Restaurant on the shoreline overlooking the sea.
Kalk Bay has become known for some spectacular breaking waves during the winter high tides. The wedding reception also happened to coincide with a heavy swell which resulted in some thunderous waves that evening!
Performing inside the restaurant was an interesting experience with high tide waves crashing against the safety doors and windows directly behind the band - a dramatic display for the guests with some nail biting moments for our trio!
