The Sound Image acoustic guitar and sax / clarinet duo was joined by vocalist Bev Scott Brown for Mariken and Ruud's wedding ceremony on the 4th March 2006 at the picturesque Plaisir De Merle Estate.
It was almost 5 years later when I received a call from the Aleit Group to perform with Bev for the couple's 5th wedding anniversary. This was to be a surprise occasion for Mariken at Ruud's request - a special intimate anniversary dinner performance for two!
We set up at a discreet location close to an outside table at Plaisir De Merle. As the couple arrived we began our first song which turned out to be an emotional surprise for Mariken - a definite "feel good moment" from our perspective!
It was a real pleasure to perform for the initial part of an ideal summer evening for the friendly couple. In short, the special occasion was a huge success with Mariken joining us on vocals for our finale, "My Baby Just Cares For Me"!
